The Breakdown

Unexpected Design, Serious Engineering

  • The CS is intended to be a workstation. It has additional height for standing work and a lower storage shelf to keep essentials closeby. Its length-to-width ratio is intended to pack easily into pickup trucks or other vehicles and deploy alone or in linked formations that can be connected on any two edges with our Pairing blocks (available soon).
  • It works differently than a traditional table. Its patented use of the shelf as a structural member pushes four linkage-arms outward to engage and brace the legs.
  • Each CS is crafted with high-quality materials and precision machined to ensure a level of tolerance more typically reserved for aircraft construction.
  • We designed the CoreStation to be a legacy product. If you care for it properly, it should last for decades. That longevity keeps it out of landfills and away from the disposable, one-season mindset of lower-quality gear.

/ How it’s made

Large-Button Adjustment

Our custom, oversized release buttons quickly and confidently release or engage the lower legs - even with thick gloves.

02.

Link-Arm engineering

The patented linkage system stabilizes the entire workstation and enables the shelf to fold neatly under the upper level.

Built In Gear Stays

Built in stays in the corners offer convenient places to hang packs, trash bags, or can be hitched and used as tie-down points when you’re on the water or in high winds.

A-Rail accessory attachment

360º of structural accessory rail surrounds all four sides of the top surface, allowing you to attach gear wherever you need it.

8-Second Deploy.

It looks narrow, will it tip over?

While it's possible to tip it over, the almost 19” width makes the CS surprisingly stable. We recommend taking a minute to level the CS using the screw-adjustable feet to maximize stability. If you’re in a high-wind environment or on a boat, you can loop straps through the corner hooks to tie it down as well. One note, PLEASE DO NOT STAND on the CS. It is not intended to be a ladder or riser platform.

What are current shipping times?

We launched with a kickstarter in April 2026, and our first products will take 6-8 months to ship, after December 2026 we anticipate having a steady inventory available and will be able to ship quickly. On checkout you’ll see an inventory update and will have a chance to determine if you’d like to continue before your order is finalized.

Is it heavy?

The total weight of the CS is 32.4lbs (14.7kg), so we would call it medium? That said, we designed the center-handle so it balances and can easily be carried by one person.

Why does it have holes in the top?

They’re built-in handles, designed to carry from the ends by two people or in the center for single-person carry. They are also be drop-in points in our upcoming Carrier-System of small gear containers (stay tuned).

Can I really set it up in 8-seconds?

Technically yes, but you’ll probably need a bit of practice. Most people take a bit longer. Our in-house record is currently 00:07:15! Try it and send us a video with your best time! We’ll post the fastest time on our feed!

Are you going to make the workstation in more sizes?

We intend to offer the CS in a variety of sizes soon.

Will it fit on my pickup tailgate?

MOST full- and mid-sized trucks after 2015 work, with a few notable exceptions - Jeep Gladiators, Ford Mavericks and Hyundai Santa Cruz tailgates are all too narrow, unfortunately. The CS will still fit in their bed or on a roof rack though! See our complete list here.

Will it scratch?

In short, yes. Aluminum is a soft metal, and, unlike heavier, harder materials, it will scratch. We think of the CS like a good cast-iron skillet: well-used just means well-seasoned. If you take care of it, it should last you for years to come.

I see some pictures on the site of things that aren’t for sale yet, when can I expect more accessories?

We’re working feverishly to bring more products to the line-up. That said, we strongly believe in not releasing things until they’re up to our exacting standards. Feel free to check back often because this is only the beginning!

Is it possible to get a finger or hand caught in the linkage arms when the shelf is deploying?

Yes, just like you can close your finger in a car door, it is possible to put your fingers into the space where the linkage-arms travel. Please use caution and keep clear of the areas where the linkage engages the magnets when opening or closing the CS. Please review our product caution notes here.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, shipping rates and times will be calculated during checkout.
